Welcome

We have been approached by a number of churches in the Welcome community who want to provide holistic, Gospel-centered services for youth and families in their neighborhood. We believe we can help with that.

Eleos Welcome will launch in June, 2022 with a Summer Camp being run out of Reconcile Community Church. They have been kind enough to open up their facility to us, for the sake of their neighbors. If you have a burden for the Welcome community, we ask you to prayerfully consider partnering with us.

WHY WELCOME?

Eleos started more than 6 years ago with a handful of passionate volunteers wanting to make an impact in a local community. We linked arms with our neighbors to serve and equip students, for the good of our community. In short we wanted our neighborhood to look more like heaven. But these things aren’t easily achieved - especially for people who (for generations) have been mistreated, and whose communities have been marginalized. The wounds run deep, and the systemic fractures run even deeper.

In an attempt to address generations-long problems, our ministry adopted an asset-based approach to community development. We want to cultivate the God-given potential in people, and places. But that requires a deep investment over a long period of time. In order to see generational change, you need to make a generational investment, in a specific geography.

Over the years we’ve seen God do amazing things. We’ve seen young people grow into their God-given potential, graduating from High School and going onto college, starting businesses - even joining our staff team. We are eternally grateful for the grace of God, and the commitment of our supporters, and volunteers. We can’t thank you all enough!

Now, we believe the Lord is leading us to reproduce this same ministry model, in a new community. We’re launching Eleos Welcome this Summer. We want to leverage our ministry experience, in partnership with local churches, and individuals who share a commitment to the same community. We have been approached by a number of churches in the Welcome community who want to provide holistic, Gospel-centered services for youth and families in their neighborhood. We believe we can help with that.

If you have a burden for the Welcome community, we ask you to prayerfully consider partnering with us in a few ways.

Would you join us in praying for the middle and high school students in Welcome? We’re praying that God would intersect our lives and give us opportunities to build relationships, that would lead to meaningful opportunities to equip and elevate them in their God-given potential.

Would you consider joining our volunteer team? We will be equipping volunteers through the Summer as we prepare to launch Open Gym, and after-school programs in the Fall! We are praying for committed volunteers who would be willing to make a long-term investment in the lives of the amazing students in the Welcome Community.

Lastly, would you prayerfully consider financially supporting this ministry effort? As with our work in Nicholtown, this kind of ministry requires faithful financial partners willing to invest in our work over the long-haul. Would you consider joining our monthly support team? A gift of $90/month provides after school services for 1 student, for 1 month. Our after-school program includes creative arts, tutoring, career readiness courses, dinner, and mentoring services.
